Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (“CMLA" or "we") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. What Information Do We Gather and How is it Used?
CMLA collects information from our users at several different points on this web site:
Users to the public areas of the CMLA web site browse anonymously. However, the CMLA web server does collect aggregate data, such as number of access attempts by page.
CMLA may collect information ("Personal Information") from you before allowing access to certain resources and personalization features on the site, or to order products and services. Generally, when Personal Information is collected, it is used by CMLA to improve web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services. Log Files
Like most standard web site servers we use log files. Sharing – Third-Party Agreement
In compliance with the "Sharing" section, the Event Third-Party recipients of CMLA event attendee contact information agrees to not redistribute or share the list outside of the organization who was directly provided with the information. The information may be used for marketing campaigns related to the products and services they provide to the mortgage industry only. This storage, protection and usage of this information by the Event Third-Party must be in compliance with all applicable laws. CMLA is not responsible for the usage of this information by the Event Third-Party.
Business Transitions
In the event CMLA goes through a business transition, such as a merger or selling a significant portion of its assets, users’ Personal Information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via email and prominent notice on our web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. If as a result of the business transition, the user's personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our notification of changes section.
Security
This web site takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect our users' information. All information entered by a user on the site is encrypted and is protected with SSL encryption software. All purchase transactions that occur on our store are transmitted via an SSL secure server with a digital certificate of authentication from PositiveSSL. We do not store credit card numbers of any sort in our online store for security purposes.

Opting out and Correcting Personal Information
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as a zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, or does not want the CMLA to disclose personal information to an Event Third-Party, users can Opt Out by logging into the CMLA web site and selecting the "My Marketing Preferences" link. Users can also click the "Contact" link on this web site in order to inform CMLA of the changes.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their Personal Information be used in this new manner.
