A Message from MBA: 2016 Election Recap

The results are in, and Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States. Trump won by carrying 29 states, translating into 290 electoral votes to Hillary Clinton's 228 (with Michigan and New Hampshire still too close to call). Earlier today, MBA President and CEO David H. Stevens issued a statement congratulating Trump on being elected the 45th President of the United States.

The Republicans managed to hold onto the Senate, securing 51 seats with the winners of the elections in Louisiana and New Hampshire still to be determined. Republicans also maintained control of the House. View MBA's 2016 Election Recap Memo, produced by MBA's Legislative and Political Affairs team.
