2020 Double the Donation
Happy New Year! As 2021 begins, our hearts are full of hope and gratitude. Because of you, we far surpassed our original goal — raising $101,452 — for our end-of-year fundraiser 'Double the Donation'. We are truly humbled by this level of support.

100% of every dollar donated will be given to Colorado Homeownership Coalition families who need our support to overcome hardships and sustain homeownership. Your overwhelming generosity will make an impact throughout 2021.

These donations came from the support of 32 local companies and 200+ individuals. This community effort is proof that we can do more when working together. Every donation, no matter the amount, made an impact, and we're grateful for you all. Stay tuned, as we look forward to recognizing many of these generous donors as we kick-off 2021.

January 12th - MBA: Share of Loans in Forbearance Drops to 5.46%
The Mortgage Bankers Association’s latest Forbearance and Call Volume Survey reported loans now in forbearance decreased to 5.46% of servicers’ portfolio volume as of Jan. 3 compared to 5.46% the prior week. MBA estimates 2.7 million homeowners are in forbearance plans.
January 11th - MBA Statement on MORPAC Disbursements
The Mortgage Bankers Association issued the following statement yesterday in response to last week’s violence at the U.S. Capitol:

“The events which took place in Washington last week were unprecedented and deeply troubling.  In the spirit of the statement issued by MBA’s President and CEO, Bob Broeksmit, CMB, last week, elected officials have an obligation to protect our constitutional system of government. In light of those factors, MBA has decided to pause disbursements from its political action committee, MORPAC, and will undertake a careful review with our member leadership of our giving strategies for the 117th Congress.”
January 11th - MBA Chart of the Week: Unemployment Insurance Continued Claims
The COVID-19 pandemic continued to impact the labor market to close 2020. Friday’s release from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that faster layoffs led to a loss of 140,000 jobs in December and kept the headline unemployment rate (U-3) at 6.7 percent.
