December 1st - FHFA: 2021 GSE Conforming Loan Limits Increase to $548,250
The Federal Housing Finance Agency yesterday announced a nearly $40,000 jump in maximum conforming loan limits for mortgages to be acquired by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2021.

The most volatile and unpredictable economy in a decade has produced the strongest housing market in more than a decade—and, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association, it could get even stronger.

December 1st - FHFA Holds 2021 Deemed-Issuance Ratio for UMBS at 60/40
The Federal Housing Finance Agency announced the deemed-issuance ratio for the 2021 calendar year in accordance with Internal Revenue Service guidelines on trading of the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security will remain unchanged in 2021 at 60 percent Fannie Mae and 40 percent Freddie Mac.

The Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee (LARAC) meets monthly to review proposed legislation and regulatory developments. We routinely comment on legislative and regulatory proposals to state and federal agencies, are active members of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and we attend the MBA’s National Policy Conference to engage with the Colorado Delegation in Washington, D.C.

CMLA is continuing to monitoring the COVID-19 virus' impact on our members, staff, and communities. We are still open for business and remain committed to working on your behalf.
