Shane Hartzler
Shane Hartzler - Fannie Mae

Shane Hartzler is Fannie Mae’s Director for eMortgage Strategy and Operations. In this role he leads strategy execution in the design, development, and improvement of eMortgage offerings as part of Fannie Mae’s broader digital mortgage efforts. Hartzler partners with customers and industry stakeholders to evaluate market needs and identify opportunities to drive adoption and support deliveries of digital mortgages.

Hartzler joined Fannie Mae in 2004. Prior to his current position, Hartzler was a member of one of Fannie Mae’s Customer Delivery Teams where he worked with internal stakeholders and customers, including 3 of Fannie Mae’s top 6 customers, to manage and improve performance and to introduce several new strategic priorities. Before that he was the Director, Product Management and Servicer Operations, for the Department of Treasury's Making Home Affordable Program. (Fannie Mae supported Treasury as the Program Administrator for the MHA program). Hartzler has also held a number of different positions in Fannie Mae's Single Family Mortgage Business focused on transforming business operations and designing and rolling out new strategic initiatives. Prior to Fannie Mae, he worked as a business consultant with American Management Systems.

Rushelle Hathoot
Rushelle Hathoot - Vice President of Closing Operations, Land Title Guarantee Company

Rushelle Hathoot has been actively involved with the title industry since 1989. In 2004, she joined the Colorado owned and operated company, Land Title Guarantee Company. She currently serves as Vice President of Closing Operations.

Hathoot is passionate about building relationships with her fellow employees, industry partners, clients and outside vendors. Throughout her career in the title industry, she has worked in almost every position from title to closing before delving into management. This has enabled Hathoot to better serve the needs of the Colorado community with her vast knowledge of how the real estate transaction transpires from contract to closing.

She is actively involved with several associations including the Land Title Association of Colorado and the Colorado County Clerks Association. She enjoys providing feedback and training for organizations across Colorado.

A Colorado Native, Hathoot enjoys taking part in all the activities that Colorado has to offer with her husband Tom and her two children.

Donnie Martin
Donnie Martin - Texas Capital

Donald (Donnie) L. Martin has over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, including leadership positions in risk and production. He joined Texas Capital Bank in June 2011 and is currently an Executive Vice President. His present position is Director of Warehouse Lending. Previous responsibilities at the bank include Risk Manager for the Mortgage Finance enterprise which includes Warehouse Lending, Correspondent Lending, MSR Lending and Treasury Services. Prior to joining Texas Capital Bank, Donnie held multiple leadership positions at JPMorganChase including Counter-Party Risk Manager, as well as Regional Production Manager in the mortgage unit. He also spent time in a management role at the FDIC in Jacksonville. Donnie received his BS in Finance from Florida State University.

Brendon Weiss
Brendon Weiss - MERS

Brendon oversees the Customer Group, the Member Services Organization, Marketing and Media, and the eCommerce and Industry Initiatives group while also identifying new business opportunities.

Prior to joining MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. in November 2016, Brendon was Co-Head of Government Affairs at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), a leading provider of financial market infrastructure. Joining ICE as part of the 2013 acquisition of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Brendon led many of the policy and industry initiatives important to ICE and the NYSE. He also chaired an industry committee created to improve the market structure for smaller public companies, managed the NYSE Institutional Traders Advisory Committee, and was a speaker at industry conferences. Before NYSE, Brendon worked for Porterfield, Fettig & Sears, LLC, the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and the U.S. House of Representatives.

He received a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Carol Peterson
Carol Peterson - Universal Lending Corporation

Carol Peterson grew up in the mortgage industry and has more than 38 years of experience. She has developed her skills by performing almost every job function in mortgage banking. Since 2002, Carol joined Universal Lending and currently serves the position of Senior Vice President in charge of the Crestline Division and serves on the Leadership Team.

Carol spends most of her time coaching and growing as many people as possible to the next level in their career. Her passion and knowledge in the industry provides her the tools needed to serve her customers, clients, co-workers and peers in any aspect of the business.

As a past Board of Director member of Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association, Carol continues her support this professional organization’s goals and objections. Her involvement in the Leadership and Sales Forums provides her opportunities to further engage and grow in our ever-changing industry.

On a personal note, Carol loves the outdoors of Colorado and enjoys glamping with her husband of 36 years and 2 fur babies in their motorhome. She also spends as much time as possible with her adult children and grand kids.
