About Chris

Senate Minority Leader Chris Holbert represents Colorado Senate District 30, which includes the communities of Parker, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Roxborough Park, Louviers, Sedalia, Castle Pines North, and Surrey Ridge in northern and western Douglas County.

Prior to serving in the Colorado State Senate, Senator Holbert served four years in the Colorado House of Representatives. Both Democrats and Republicans in the Colorado General Assembly – and members of the Colorado Congressional delegation – have praised Senator Holbert for his principled, respectful, and informed advocacy based on truth and accountability.

Senator Holbert is a fierce advocate for reducing government regulation and taxation while defending personal freedom. Senator Holbert will continue to oppose new mandates, promote job creation, and advocate for tax payers to ensure that Colorado remains accountable to those who fund it.

Senator Holbert is married to Diane Holbert, who is a former elected Treasurer and Commissioner of Douglas County. They have two sons, Victor and Carson. In his free time Senator Holbert enjoys bow hunting and has climbed 39 of the 54 “14’ers” in Colorado.
