Colorado Legislature Temporarily Adjourned
The General Assembly “temporarily adjourned” until March 30th. It also asked the Supreme Court to determine whether it can pause and resume the 12-day session at a later date, going past the May 6th planned date of adjournment, or if it must adjourn at the end of 120 calendar days. The answer to that question will largely determine the legislative agenda for what remains of session. The Legislature must pass a budget by June 30th, but other than that it is not under any obligation to pass additional legislation.

The Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee (LARAC) meets monthly to review proposed legislation and regulatory developments. We routinely comment on legislative and regulatory proposals to state and federal agencies, are active members of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and we attend the MBA’s National Policy Conference to engage with the Colorado Delegation in Washington, D.C.
