CMLA COVID-19 Update
March 26, 2020

Colorado "Stay at Home" Order Updated

Governor Polis issued an update to the statewide "Stay at Home" order that includes "Professional services, such as legal, title companies, or accounting services, real estate appraisals and transactions" in the list of critical services.

Our legislative team has maintained regular communications with our government partners to ensure real estate transactions would not be hindered by the "Stay at Home" order. This update achieves that goal, but this is not a return to "business as usual" for our industry. It is critical to the health and safety of our communities that all companies continue to allow employees to work remotely and encourage social distancing.

CMLA is committed to responsible homeownership achieved through the practice of integrity-based lending. We believe that a key component of integrity-based lending is doing our part to maintain safe and healthy communities in Colorado. COVID-19 presents a serious threat to the health and safety of Coloradans and we hope you will help us set an example for our communities by encouraging your employees to adhere to the "Stay at Home" order.
