Bill Killmer
Senior Vice President for Legislative and Political Affairs
Mortgage Bankers Association

Bill Killmer is Senior Vice President for Legislative and Political Affairs at the MBA. A veteran of over twenty-five years in the housing arena, Bill is responsible for managing the real estate finance industry's legislative, grassroots, and political fundraising activities, in close coordination with the MBA member leadership and its public policy and lobbying teams. He directs MBA's outreach to Congress, and is a regular guest speaker on the intersectin of politics, policy, and industry issues.

Previously named one of CEO Update's trade association Top Lobbyists, Kilmer joined MBA in July 2010, after nearly twenty years in the policy space at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). During his NAHB tenure, Killmer served as the association's Chief Lobbyist and, more recently, as Executive Vice President for Advocacy, managing all aspects of the group's public policy outreach. He previously served as a Senior Legislative Officer for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor during the George H.W. Bush administration. Killmer holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in Finance/Economics from Baylor University.
Pete Mills
Senior VP Residential Policy & Member Engagement

Pete Mills is Senior Vice President of Residential Policy and Member Engagement at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). In this position, he leads MBA's residential policy team and state and local advocacy program, and directs MBA's residential member engagement efforts across the MBA value platform.

Mills is an experienced financial services industry executive with more than 30 years of expertise in public affairs, government relations, public policy and research, all in the housing and mortgage finance arena. Prior to joining MBA, he served as Managing Director and co-founder of the Community Mortgage Banking Project, a public policy organization that represented the interests of companies and coalitions involved in the housing and mortgage finance industries. During his career, Mills lead corporate public affairs for Countrywide Financial, managed trade association policy advocacy for the California Mortgage Bankers Association and the California Association of Realtors, and conducted housing policy research at the Federal Reserve Board. He has a BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated with distinction in 1982.
Dieter Raemdonck
Recht Kornfeld PC

Dieter Raemdonck’s practice is focused primarily on government relations matters at the federal, state, and local levels.

As a registered lobbyist, Mr. Raemdonck has invaluable expertise and experience communicating with state, county and municipal officials; state and federal legislators; executive branch employees; and state agencies and regulators. At the Colorado General Assembly, Dieter assists clients with all aspects of the legislative process, including drafting legislation, building coalitions, developing strategies for advocacy and messaging, lobbying legislators, and ultimately achieving clients’ desired policy outcomes. His clients have a broad range of priorities, from general business issues to education, energy, real estate, and technology.  In addition, he regularly advises and assists clients with political giving programs and campaign finance matters.

Dieter’s practice also includes advocating client interests before regulatory bodies at the state and local levels. He often drafts proposed regulations, and represents clients before administrative boards and commissions.
