About this Luncheon

Have lunch with representatives from FHA, VA, USDA, and the HUD-184 program. This expert panel will highlight new and/or changing loan programs and how that might affect you in 2018. There will also be a focus on how they are using technology to garner more business, up and coming LMI (low to moderate income) programs, and how guidelines have changed to help home buyers qualify in this tight housing market.

Meet Your 5 Luncheon Panelists!

Christina Channing, Senior Underwriter, Single Family Federal Housing Administration Denver Homeownership Center

Christina has dedicated the last six years serving HUD’s Mission through the Office of Single Family Housing. As a Senior Underwriter, she is an accomplished FHA subject matter expert primarily responsible for providing policy insight, quality control oversight, and training various stakeholders.

Christina is passionate about leading people, demonstrating success through key contributions on many significant Housing initiatives. Recently, she was recognized as a core leader for the development, implementation, and dissemination of FHA’s Loan Review System (LRS) and Loan Quality Assessment Methodology (Defect Taxonomy). She has also been acknowledged for the tremendous efforts put forth to produce multiple new employee orientation and training programs. In 2017, Christina was among top leadership graduates from the Office of Housing’s Management Development Program, where she is honored to remain as a professional development coach.

Contributing to what makes her an asset to FHA, Christina’s prior industry background has given her a clear understanding of the importance of risk management balanced with access to credit. She spent most of her career as a mortgage underwriter, starting when the market was thriving. After its peak and collapse, she continued to work through the volatility of the housing crisis. This experience caused Christina to become resilient and focused toward housing sustainability.

Outside of work, Christina is known to be devoted to her family, valuing her close-knit relationships above anything else. She takes pride in her marriage of 13 years to husband, Matt, and mostly in being a mom to their 10 year old son, Bailey.
