BIO:
Julie Piepho, CMB, AMP, CML, President of National Operations at Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc., joined the mortgage industry in 1977. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and holds the prestigious Master Certified Mortgage Banker designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Over the last 35 years, Julie has held various positions and continues to excel in every endeavor. She has lead sales and operation teams to reach optimum levels of success through strategic planning and organizational change.
She currently serves on MBA’s RESBOG Committee and Board of Directors. Her additional involvement includes being a past Chairman of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association, past chairman of MBA’s State Legislative and Regulatory Committee, Board Member of MBA’s Mortgage Action Alliance and MORPAC Committees and an appointee by the Governor of Colorado as an inaugural board member for the State of Colorado’s Mortgage Loan Originator Board, which she currently chairs. Julie is also a highly sought after, dynamic speaker at mortgage and leadership conferences.
Julie has been recognized on numerous occasions for her high-energy, enthusiasm and passion. In 2013, Julie was awarded the E. Michael Rosser Lifetime Achievement Award, which is presented to those who have personified the highest principles, ethics and professional values of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association. Additionally, at the MBA’s 100th Annual Convention and Expo held in Washington, DC in October, 2013, the Mortgage Bankers Political Action Committee (MORPAC) awarded her the Schumacher-Bolduc Award in recognition of her dedication and prominent service to MORPAC and the mortgage industry. She continues to help colleagues reach unprecedented levels of success through her professionalism and dedication.
Outside of work, Julie has a passion for helping people in her community. She has dedicated her time to charitable organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association and Habitat for Humanity.
